Eligibility Criteria
Requirements vary based on the specific post code:
- Assistant Section Officer (ASO): Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized university. (Some departments may require basic computer proficiency).
- Junior Engineer (JE) Civil: Degree in Civil Engineering OR a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Assistant Engineer (AE) Civil: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) from a recognized institution.
- Legal Assistant: Degree in Law (LLB) with 1 to 3 years of experience as a Legal Practitioner or in legal work within a government department.
Age Limit (as of March 25, 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years (21 years for specific ASO roles).
- Maximum Age: Generally 30 years (Relaxable up to 32 or 35 years depending on the department and post).

Selection Process
- The recruitment follows a structured examination scheme:
- Tier-I Examination: A combined objective-type test covering General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and Language sections.
- Tier-II Examination: Specialized technical or descriptive papers for higher-grade or technical positions.
- Document Verification: For candidates meeting the qualifying cut-off.
- Medical Examination: Final medical fitness clearance.
- Note: There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
